Why katakjitu requires mobile verification
Account verification protects both you and our platform. We verify identity to prevent fraud, money laundering, and underage access. When you deposit funds via DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, or online payment, those payment networks require us to confirm your identity matches the account holder. Verification also helps us recover your account if you forget your password or lose your phone.
On katakjitu, verification is a one-time step. After you pass, your account remains verified as long as you keep it active. You do not need to re-verify every time you log in or every time you play a new game.
The katakjitu verification flow is mobile-first. You open the app, tap your profile icon, and select "Verify Account." The app then guides you through three steps: upload your ID, confirm your phone number via SMS, and take a selfie. Each step has a clear instruction screen, and if your upload is unclear, we send you a notification asking you to resubmit.
We accept Indonesian national ID cards (KTP), passports, and driver's licenses. Your document must be current and legible. If you upload a blurry photo or a document that has expired, our verification team will ask you to try again. Most resubmissions are approved within a few hours.
Documents katakjitu accepts for verification
We accept three forms of government-issued ID:
- KTP (Kartu Tanda Penduduk): Your Indonesian national ID card. We read your name, date of birth, and ID number from the card.
- Passport: Your Indonesian passport. The photo page must be clear and the passport must not be expired.
- Driver's License: Your Indonesian driving license (SIM). We verify your name and date of birth match your account.
Your document must be:
- Current (not expired)
- Fully visible in the photo (all four corners of the card, or both pages of the passport)
- Well-lit and in focus (no glare, no shadows covering text)
- Held in your hand or on a flat surface (not a screenshot or photocopy)
After you upload your ID, katakjitu asks you to confirm your phone number. We send a one-time code (OTP) to your phone via SMS. You enter that code in the app to prove you own the phone number on your account. This step takes less than a minute.
Finally, we ask for a selfie. You take a photo of your face using your phone's front camera. Your face must be clearly visible, well-lit, and match the photo on your ID document. The selfie is compared to your ID photo to confirm you are the account holder. If the match is unclear, we ask you to retake the selfie.
Verification data is encrypted
Your ID photo, selfie, and personal details are stored on secure servers and are never shared with third parties. We use industry-standard encryption to protect your data.
How long does katakjitu verification take?
Most verifications on katakjitu are approved within minutes. Our automated system checks your document quality, compares your selfie to your ID, and confirms your phone number. If everything passes, your account is verified immediately and you can start playing live tables right away.
If our system flags your submission for manual review—for example, if the document is slightly blurry or the selfie angle is unclear—a member of our team reviews it within a few hours. During peak times (such as around Idul Fitri or Idul Adha holidays), manual reviews may take longer, but we aim to complete them within one business day.
If your submission is rejected, we send you a notification explaining why. Common reasons include:
- Document is expired or illegible
- Selfie does not match the ID photo
- Phone number does not match your account
- Document is a screenshot or photocopy instead of a photo of the physical card
You can resubmit immediately after rejection. There is no limit to how many times you can try, and each resubmission is reviewed just as carefully as the first.



What you can do after verification on katakjitu
Once your katakjitu account is verified, you unlock the full platform:

Account recovery and re-verification
If you lose your phone or forget your password, katakjitu support can help you regain access. We ask you to verify your identity again using the same process: upload your ID, confirm your phone number, and take a selfie. This protects your account from unauthorized access.
If you change your phone number, update it in your account settings before you lose access to your old number. You can do this in the app under "Account" → "Phone Number." We send an OTP to your new number to confirm the change.
If your verified status expires (which is rare and only happens if your account is inactive for an extended period), you can re-verify by following the same steps. Most re-verifications are approved within minutes.
